Hi all!
Can you believe we actually do have fall here in Hawaii? Fall usually greets us with a good amount of rainfall, however, this year the fall weather has been just humid and hot! We've had a couple of flash flood watches, but not as much rain as we normally see this time of year. After about 10 days of almost unbearably muggy and hot weather, we were graced today with the "phantom" trade winds! Yay! Jumping for joy here because it is truly a beautiful day with the trades blowing away the VOG! Who'd a thought that I moved from Los Angeles to Hawaii in 1976 and am now faced with vog, smog, frog, yuck!
Someone recently sent me a great article written by George Carlin awhile ago about how we're all so busy nowadays. Let me see if I can find it and post it here for you all to read! Here's the link: http://www.spiritpolishing.com/a-comedian-to-light-us-up/#more-313. Please read and enjoy!
Here's a new painting from my Dad, pretty darn good for 84 years young! He never picked up a paint brush until my mom passed and he moved to Maui in 1998. His art teacher tells him he's a natural; I agree. Just proves that old dogs can learn new tricks!
Shadow wandered out of my daughter's house (she adopted her a number of years back) and went on a "journey". We've scoured the neighborhood, reported to the Humane Society, handed out flyers, and we still have not seen her. We haven't given up hope, though. Shadow's one of the sweetest cats around; she doesn't have a mean bone in her body! We're hoping she comes home soon! We all miss her terribly.
What takes your breath away? For me, it's watching the trade winds ripple through the trees. Please share your answers with me...look forward to hearing from you all!
Peace and smiles,
JoAnn
